Overview
By using its own format mediaCam can optimise all the captured streams (screen, pointer, audio, video etc) to maximise compression and therefore minimise file size and at the same time maintain the best quality. Adding annotation to the capture is achieved seamlessly and due to its active implementation can be edited again and again without affecting the original captured data.
If the format is proprietary how can I let other people see my captures?
Included with all versions of mediaCam are freely distributable viewers mediaPlay and mediaView. mediaPlay can be downloaded free of charge directly from the netu2 website as an application and as an ActiveX control. This allows mcam clips can be viewed on web pages and PowerPoint, or any other application that supports ActiveX controls. Websites can be set up so that visitors' web browsers automatically download the control from netu2 when a clip is included on a page.
What if I want my clip to be viewed in Microsoft MediaPlayer?
mediaCam AV can export mcam files as AVIs using any compatible codecs. AVIs can be played back by MediaPlayer and can be exported by off the shelf conversion software to other compatible formats.
What about Flash?
mediaCam AV can also export mcam files as Flash version 7 (.swf) and includes ADPCM compressed audio.
