Netu2 Limited specializes in the design, development and implementation
of screen recording software for use in the production of educational training materials, bug reporting, HCI studies or for the general capture and communication of information.

Technologies

All versions of mediaCam have been developed and tested on the Windows ™ family of Operating systems on the Intel™ hardware platform.

Design

The mediaCam range of software uses an extensible stream based capture and replay architecture. This design allows extra media types to be added to and extracted from the captures with ease. mediaCam uses advanced multi-tasking techniques in order to have a minimal effect on other running applications. To ensure that captured information takes up as little space as possible netu2 has developed lossless compression algorithms optimized for screen capturing. The use of lossless compression means that no detail from the computer screen is lost during the capturing and replay process.
